This artwork was heavily inspired by this song. As soon as I heard this song, my mind served up an accompanying image.

In my previous works, the animal I focused on was the dog, particularly Dobermans and Great Danes. Animals known for their faithfulness, and hard work. In figuring out my art, I’ve tried and failed so often that these were the characteristics I needed to embody in order to keep going, and to keep trying. But big cats are different, they embody a power, majesty and unconditional confidence.

The leopard, a ubiquitous African symbol of royal power, appears on the coat of arms of several African nations, including Benin, Malawi, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the tiger symbolizes unconditional confidence, disciplined awareness, kindness and modesty. Relaxed, yet energized, it represents a state of enlightenment.
Recently somethings changed, somethings clicked. Before I could only dream as far as my own two arms could reach. But things are changing, I have the opportunity to dream bigger and turn the things I see when I close my eyes into a reality.

So, for now the subjects I want to explore are big cats.
