Art Eye Gallery was selected by the American International School of Johannesburg to be the creative space for their ekphrastic writing project for the high school learners of 2024.
Ekphrastic Writing means to describe something in vivid detail – and that is exactly what these learners did. They created poems and stories, filled with emotion, uniqueness, and appreciation.
We are not only proud of the stories these learners created, but we are proud of them, as individuals, for allowing themselves to venture out of their comfort zones and allowing their imaginations to take flight.

It was a pleasure for Art Eye Gallery, and our artists, to be part of this incredible project. We would like to say a very big thank to the team at AISJ for the beautiful book that will allow us to read these stories over, and over, again.
