“Over the past two years, Adrian Fuller and I have often discussed the incredible potential of introducing the Art Eye brand to Australia. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that this vision has become a reality!
Adrian and his brother-in-law, Justin Lejeune, have worked tirelessly to bring this exciting initiative to life. Our first shipment of extraordinary African art has arrived and is now beautifully framed and displayed in our Perth office. These works include stunning creations by legendary artists such as Godfrey Majadibodu, Toni Bico, Faye Spencer, Louis van den Heever, and Lionel Murcott.
This marks a significant milestone as Art Eye embarks on an inspiring journey to expand into a new and vibrant market. This step represents more than just an expansion—it’s a celebration of African culture and a platform for showcasing the immense talent of African artists in a vibrant, multicultural environment like Australia.
Art Eye Gallery is a space that perpetuates the idea of storytelling, free expression, and the collaborative extension of community experiences.
The pinnacle focus of Art Eye Gallery is to provide a platform for new and upcoming artists to create sustainable visual arts careers and to gain exposure within these spaces by bridging the gap between formal exhibition spaces and workshop spaces, allowing artists to experiment, converse, and express their innermost thoughts, experiences, beliefs, and values.
Art Eye Gallery is dedicated to challenging preconceived ideas about different cultural traditions by promoting a more nuanced viewpoint of our similarities and differences, connecting us to people worldwide. Promoting a more nuanced perspective and understanding is imperative as it allows us to consider our roles as a collective, ultimately reminding us of our shared humanity and the importance of working together as a global community.
This monumental need for multicultural perspectives is why Art Eye has developed a partnership with Australia to broaden cultural connections through the arts and celebrate the rich tapestry of human creativity and expression. By celebrating the unique traditions, beliefs, and values of different cultures, we reinforce intercultural dialogue, which can help us appreciate the beauty of diversity and recognize the contributions of different cultures to the world.
Adrian and Justin’s efforts are a testament to their dedication, and I’m proud to collaborate with them on this venture. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow this inspiring initiative!” – Tyron Selmon-Butler
